Joya oculta en la Ruta de la Seda: Explorando las grutas de Xumishan en Ningxia

Mirando desde la base de los acantilados de arenisca roja, la Gran Mansión de Buda de las Grutas de Xumishan emerge de la pared rocosa, tallada en la escarpada ladera de la montaña hace más de 1.500 años. Situadas en Guyuan, en la región autónoma de la etnia hui de Ningxia, al noroeste de China, las Grutas de Xumishan sirvieron como lugar religioso y cultural a lo largo de la ruta oriental de la antigua Ruta de la Seda.

Con 162 cuevas, elaboradas esculturas y murales que mezclan la cosmología budista india con estilos artísticos chinos, el yacimiento se originó en la dinastía Wei del Norte y floreció durante los periodos Zhou del Norte y Sui-Tang, con restauraciones posteriores en dinastías posteriores. #XW #China #culturachina #Ningxia
