In this video, I discuss how big shipcoiners like Roger Ver, Craig Wright, Vitalik Buterin, and Jameson Lopp are all in favor of having large blobs of arbitrary data (like large op returns) on chain.

Unfortunately, Bitcoin Core devs and their supporters in 2025 seem to agree with this philosophy, thus contradicting their previous stance when it comes to large op returns (for example, 2014 Greg Maxwell vs 2025 Greg Maxwell).
