È arrivata due giorni fa la sentenza di primo grado sul caso Regeni: tre agenti dell’Intelligence egiziani sono stati condannati a 10 anni per aver sequestrato e torturato il giovane ricercatore al Cairo nel 2016. Il ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani all’indomani ha dichiarato: “È una sentenza di primo grado non cambiano i rapporti con l’Egitto”. “Non è l’Egitto in quanto tale” colpevole. “Sono tre persone colpevoli”. La premier Meloni ha quindi ribadito di aver sempre tenuto aperti i canali politici e diplomatici con il Cairo proprio con l’obiettivo di ricercare “verità e giustizia”.
