Pelaku penikaman adalah YT, yang tinggal bertetangga dengan korban di Rukun Tetangga (RT) Karassik, Lingkungan Luak, Kelurahan Bungin, Makale Utara, Jumat (21/2/2025) pagi.
Korban sempat dilarikan ke RSUD Lakipadada namun nyawanya tak tertolong.
Kapolres Tana Toraja, AKBP Malpa Malacoppo belum mau mengungkap motif penikaman tersebut.
Dia berdalih, kasus ini masih dalam penyelidikan.
Yang pasti, kata Malpa, pelaku sudah diamankan setelah sempat bersembunyi di hutan tak jauh dari lokasi Rambu Solo.
Pantauan tribuntoraja.com di rumah duka, keluarga dan kerabat korban histeris menyambut kedatangan jenazah yang dibawa menggunakan ambulans RS Lakipadada sekitar Pukul 13.00 Wita
Keponakan Nathaniel, Mersi Somalinggi (35), mengatakan korban meninggalkan seorang istri dan empat anak.
Untuk jadwal pemakaman pria yang berprofesi tukang kayu itu, kata Mersi, masih menunggu kesepakatan rumpun keluarga.
Mersi juga mengaku tidak mengetahui motif sehingga YT tega menikam pamannya.
