في صباح 2 أغسطس/ آب 1990، تغيّر كل شيء. لم يكن الغزو العراقي للكويت مجرد حرب قطعت حدوداً بين بلدين، بل دخل أيضاً إلى علاقة فنية وثقافية عمرها عقود.من عبد اللطيف الكويتي وناظم الغزالي، إلى كاظم الساهر وعبد الله الرويشد، ومن أستوديوهات الكويت التي حفظت أصوات عراقيين، إلى الأغاني التي توقفت أو تغيّر مصيرها بعد الغزو.. كيف كانت الأغنية واحداً من أهم الجسور بين الشعبين؟
نروي حكاية الفنانين الذين وجدوا أنفسهم فجأة في الجهة الأخرى من الحرب، وفائق عبد الجليل الذي دفع حياته ثمناً لأغانيه، ومحاولات استعادة الغناء المشترك بعد سقوط نظام صدام حسين.
كيف يمكن للفن أن يحافظ على صلة بين شعبين مزّقتها الحرب؟ وهل تستطيع الأغنية أن تعيد بناء جسر هدمه الاحتلال؟
