Besonders am Rhein bei Köln spitzt sich die Lage zu. Für das kommende Wochenende wird dort der niedrigste jemals gemessene Pegelstand erwartet.

Die Folgen sind schon jetzt sichtbar: Schiffe können weniger Ladung transportieren, manche Fahrten werden unwirtschaftlich, andere ganz eingestellt. Für Unternehmen entlang des Rheins wird der wichtige Transportweg zunehmend zum Problem.
