Non solo calcio. Si è conclusa con uno straordinario successo, sia sportivo che diplomatico, la missione della G.S.D. Nuova Tor Tre Teste in Estremo Oriente. Come riferito dall'agenzia giornalistica Askanews, la storica società calcistica romana è stata protagonista dell’Hainan Free Trade Port Cup, un evento di scambio giovanile sino-italiano che ha trasformato il calcio in un linguaggio universale di collaborazione tra le rive del Mediterraneo e i mari del Sud della Cina. L’intera operazione è stata ideata e coordinata dal presidente della Nuova Tor Tre Teste, Ivan D’Adamo, ex calciatore con importanti esperienze anche all'estero. La delegazione italiana è stata ricevuta con i massimi onori dalle autorità della Provincia di Hainan, tra cui l’Onorevole Li Guoliang. Il prestigio dell’evento è stato suggellato da una cerimonia di apertura svolta davanti a 6.500 persone e trasmessa dalla TV nazionale. Sul piano agonistico, la Nuova Tor Tre Teste ha partecipato con le categorie Under 13 e Under 16, che hanno dominato il campo conquistando tre coppe del torneo. L’Under 16 ha ottenuto vittorie decisive grazie alle reti di Valentini, Caneba e Lombardo, mentre l’Under 13 si è distinta per una straordinaria rimonta contro la selezione di Danzhou e una netta vittoria finale contro la rappresentativa di Qionghai. I ragazzi del Tor Tre Teste hanno preso parte anche a numerose e coinvolgenti attività culturali fuori dal campo: laboratori di calligrafia, visite a centri d’innovazione tecnologica e momenti di immersione nelle tradizioni locali.
