İsrail'e karşı nükleer kalkan: Suudi Arabistan-Pakistan anlaşmasının perde arkası ne?
1998’de Hindistan sınırın hemen dibinde nükleer deneme yaptığında, Pakistan’da alarm zilleri çalmaya başladı. O sırada başbakan olan Navaz Şerif, Suudi Arabistan’a telefon açarak: “Biz de karşılık verirsek, Batı’nın yaptırımlarına karşı yanımızda durur musunuz?” Suudlar sessiz kalmadı. Pakistan nükleer denemesini yaptı, Riyad ise her gün 50 bin varil ücretsiz petrol göndererek ekonomik baskıyı hafifletti. Aradan yıllar geçti.Şimdi sahnede Navaz’ın kardeşi Şahbaz Şerif var. Yanında ordu komutanıyla birlikte Riyad’a gitti. Uçağına Suudi F-15’ler eşlik etti, yere lavanta rengi halılar serildi. Yani Pakistan özel misafir statüsünde karşılanmıştı. Artık Pakistan yardım isteyen değil, yardım istenen ülke olma noktasına geliyor.
İki ülke arasında imzalanan yeni savunma anlaşması hem askeri hem de siyasi anlamda çarpıcı. Taraflardan birine yapılacak bir saldırı, her ikisine birden yapılmış sayılacak. Pakistan, gerekirse nükleer kapasitesini Riyad’ın hizmetine sunabileceğini ilan etti. Bu, Körfez güvenliğinde yeni bir denge demek. Amerika’nın boşalttığı alanı bölge ülkeleri kendi aralarında doldurmaya çalışıyor. Üstelik Türkiye de bu denklemin içinde olabilir.
Pakistan, nükleer kapasitesi ve savaş tecrübesiyle güvenlik ihracı yapıyor. Suudi Arabistan ise petrol ve yatırımla ekonomik yardımlar sağlıyor.
