PSSI Siap Naturalisasi 3 Pemain Baru, Erick Thohir: Butuh Persaingan di Timnas
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Ketua Umum PSSI, Erick Thohir, mengabarkan timnas Garuda bakal mendapat tambahan amunisi pemain baru. Erick bilang ada tiga pemain yang kini sedang dalam proses naturalisasi.Menurut Erick, timnas Garuda butuh penebalan di berbagai posisi. Ketiga pemain yang bakal dinaturalisasi adalah Emil Audero, Joey Pelupessy, dan Dean James.
Tiga pemain baru diharapkan dapat bergabung saat laga kualifikasi Piala Dunia Maret depan.
Soal rencana naturalisasi kiper baru, Emil Audero, Erick bilang selain pelapis, persaingan di level penjaga gawang juga diperlukan. Sementara untuk posisi kiper ketiga akan diberikan jatah ke pemain muda.
Penjaga gawang Emil Audero nantinya bakal bersaing dengan Maarten Paes.
Emil adalah pemain didikan Juventus. Dia juga pernah bermain di Sampdoria dan sempat dipinjamkan ke Inter Milan. Musim ini, ia tercatat sebagai pemain Como, namun dipinjamkan ke Palermo.
Sementara Dean James, yang berusia 24 tahun, memperkuat klub Belanda, Go Ahead Eagles, sejak 2023 sampai sekarang.
Sedangkan Joey Pelupessy saat ini bermain di klub kasta kedua Belgia, Lommel SK. Posisinya adalah gelandang bertahan.
