Elden Ring Nightreign - Final Boss Solo Expedition Completion & Ending

Elden Ring Nightreign - Solo Deathless Final Boss Expedition Completion / Solo Night Aspect Expedition. Just a video showing solo clear of the Night Aspect Expedition and the Heolstor the Nightlord Boss Fight in Elden Ring Nightreign on PC, 4k 60FPS Max Settings on RTX 4090. Details below.

00:00 - Day 1
16:09 - Day 2
35:01 - The Shape of Night (Final Boss Phase 1)
36:41 - Heolstor the Nightlord (Final Boss Phase 2)

I'm getting more used to the enemies and the game, although still some fairly sloppy moments. The final boss I still have no idea on most of the attacks and timings, but managed to get it done anyway.

As for my thoughts on the game, it's much the same as I said in my first expedition video. Group is enjoyable, solo is entirely dependable on being familiar with Elden Ring. If you're somebody who has spent a lot of time recently playing Elden Ring, this will be very straightforward. If you're somebody who's unfamiliar with all of the different enemies and weapons that Elden Ring has to offer, it'll be quite difficult to begin with. You can obviously learn over time, but I think many people's experience will have varied depending on how much they've played Elden Ring beforehand.

I was also expecting a lot more map variety overall. There's the shifting events which change a portion of the map, but other than that the entire map layout is essentially consistent. Different enemies and landmarks, but the key layout is the same. So it can feel a little repetitive after not too long playing. A big help is also going for the Smithing Stone 2 in the cave early on, it makes a huge difference. It's still an enjoyable game though.

This is also after the patch, as I was waiting to see how the differences would be. You get more runes from enemies, which is quite noticeable. You also get a free revive, which can also be helpful. Before the patch you could still get level ~13 fairly reliably at the end, and 14-15 with a good run. So ultimately it just makes it less stressful for the final boss, and less RNG dependant. I also think that's probably a welcome change for a game like this. I know the souls community is notoriously anti-nerf, and I'm all for difficult content too. But in this case I think it was probably needed, as the entire difficulty of the game revolves around familiarity more than anything. And with ~35 minutes to get an attempt at a boss, that can be a bit offputting.

As for my plans going forward, I'm not too sure what else I'd like to do in this. Ideally I'll have a video with all 8 of the Nightlords, which I'll probably still do. Ultimately what I would've really would've liked is a boss reflection mode like in Sekiro. Where after defeating the boss you can opt to fight it again whenever you want. Then it'd make no damage runs a lot more tempting. As it stands, it's far too much time investment to learn. I'm sure somebody will do it, but the time involved just isn't for me.
