KOMPAS.TV - Setelah 10 tahun absen, Presiden RI akhirnya akan hadir langsung dalam Sidang Majelis Umum PBB ke-80 di New York, Amerika Serikat. Tak hanya hadir, Presiden Prabowo juga akan berpidato sebagai salah satu pembicara.Menteri Luar Negeri, Sugiono, mengatakan dalam sidang tersebut Prabowo akan diberikan kesempatan sebagai pembicara ketiga, setelah Presiden Brasil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva dan Presiden Amerika Serikat Donald Trump.
Pakar hubungan internasional dari Universitas Padjadjaran, Teuku Rezasyah, menyebut kesempatan Presiden Prabowo Subianto untuk berpidato di Majelis Umum PBB merupakan panggung emas bagi Indonesia. Teuku berharap salah satu isu yang diangkat Prabowo dalam pidato nanti adalah soal konflik kemanusiaan di Gaza, Palestina.
Sebelumnya, Menlu RI juga menyampaikan bahwa selain berbicara soal perdamaian dunia dan isu global Palestina, Presiden juga akan mengangkat isu penyerangan terhadap Qatar, reformasi multilateralisme, serta peran negara-negara di Global South. Presiden juga akan memperkenalkan Asta Cita ke panggung dunia.
