Paolo Orazi Barattieri, ingegnere che vive tra Brescia e il Lido di Venezia, ha ripreso con il drone le procedure di sollevamento e abbattimento delle 19 paratie che impediscono la risalita della marea alla bocca di porto di Malamocco, tra l'isola del Lido e quella di Pellestrina, proteggendo la città di Venezia. I cassoni vengono riempiti con aria compressa per farli emergere e vengono riempiti di acqua per farli tornare sul fondo. La durata del sollevamento o dell abbattimento è di 30 minuti. «Il drone è il mio hobby -spiega Orazi- quando non lavoro, era da un po' di tempo che volevo fare delle riprese del Mose». Così, la mattina del 16 settembre, ha assistito alle operazioni di test delle dighe. «È stato incredibile, mi sono entusiasmato. Il Mose è un progetto faraonico ed è italiano, meriterebbe di essere valorizzato di più». Le origini del progetto risalgono alla prima metà degli anni '70, nell'ambito delle iniziative per la difesa di Venezia e della laguna dalle acque alte, seguite all'alluvione che colpì la città il 4 novembre 1966.
