Сергей Глаголев: Теплокровность. У кого и какая она бывает

Млекопитающие и птицы – теплокровные, а рептилии, амфибии и рыбы – холоднокровные. Так нас учат в школе, и в целом это верно. И все-таки все не так однозначно. Млекопитающие и птицы бывают холоднокровными, а ящерицы, рыбы и даже насекомые – теплокровными. Эти «нестандартные» случаи мы разберем на лекции. Также попробуем разобраться, как теплокровные животные поддерживают высокую температуру тела, а главное, зачем мог понадобиться такой странный признак. Ведь теплокровность требует добывать в 10 раз больше пищи, и останься мы холоднокровными – нам было бы в 10 раз легче прокормить себя и своих детенышей!
