La mafia non è solo un fenomeno confinato altrove: è un modello di potere senza controllo che si infiltra nel tessuto economico, politico e sociale, arrivando a condizionare anche i rapporti personali e la cultura giovanile. Ma qual è il meccanismo che trasforma intere comunità in vittime di questo potere?Non basta la repressione: la vera «cura» alla mafia risiede nella consapevolezza civica e nel ritorno ai principi della Costituzione, un testo nato dal sangue della Resistenza, che pone un limite invalicabile a ogni potere assoluto. Siamo felici di annunciare che Roberto Rossi, Procuratore della Repubblica di Bari, salirà sul palco del TEDx Bari.
Magistrato dal 1990, ha guidato indagini su criminalità organizzata, reati ambientali, urbanistici e contro la PA. È stato componente del Consiglio Superiore della Magistratura, ha collaborato con OLAF (Ufficio Europeo per la Lotta Anti-Frode), UNESCO, UNIDROIT e con procure di diversi Paesi, firmando anche studi e pubblicazioni sul diritto penale ambientale e tutela dei beni culturali, oltre ad essere stato docente in università e scuole di formazione giudiziaria in Italia e all’estero.
Alla guida della Procura barese, Rossi ha posto al centro della sua azione il contrasto alle mafie e ai “colletti bianchi”, promuovendo un modello di giustizia vicino ai cittadini.
Tra i riconoscimenti: Medaglia di Bronzo al Merito della Cultura e dell’Arte, Premio Ischia per l’Ambiente, Premio Biancofiore e Panda d’Oro WWF.
