Ihr neues Album "Please" soll nicht nur ein weiterer musikalischer Meilenstein sein. Angesichts des erwartbaren politischen Rechtsrucks bei den anstehenden Landtagswahlen, planen die fünf Musiker nicht nur Konzerte in großen Stadien. Ihre Tour führt sie auch in kleine Alternative Jugend-Zentren in Ostdeutschland, ein Zeichen für diejenigen, so sagen sie, die "durch die Entwicklung starken Gegenwind erfahren". Aber auch der obligatorische Auftritt in der Wuhlheide ist geplant. Kommerzieller Erfolg, politische Haltung und immer wieder neue musikalische Ideen – das sind die Beatsteaks kurz vor ihrem 30. Bandjubiläum.
