En este segmento de Hola! Ota-Ola, el influencer y activista cubanoamericano Alex Otaola reacciona a la muerte de otro joven vinculado a la embarcación que meses atrás intentó llegar a Cuba con el propósito declarado de enfrentar al régimen.Según versiones difundidas en redes sociales y medios independientes, el joven habría sufrido complicaciones médicas tras permanecer bajo custodia estatal. Con esta, serían cinco las muertes asociadas al grupo que participó en la travesía marítima. Las circunstancias del fallecimiento han generado fuertes cuestionamientos y exigencias de transparencia.
Otaola plantea que el hecho reabre el debate sobre la represión, la falta de garantías procesales y el estado de los derechos humanos en la isla. También cuestiona la reacción social dentro del país ante este tipo de sucesos.
El comentario enfatiza que la crisis política cubana sigue cobrando víctimas y que la discusión sobre el futuro del sistema continúa siendo uno de los temas más sensibles dentro y fuera del país.
