Ukraine calls for tougher global response after Donetsk strikes
European allies say they will provide more support for Ukraine’s air defences in the wake of another large attack by Russia. At least 24 people were killed in a village in Donetsk on Tuesday after a Russian bomb hit a group of people queueing to collect their pensions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the global response to Russia’s assaults hasn’t been strong enough, a day after US President Donald Trump threatened more sanctions on Moscow.
