Vamos analisar o livro que lhe rendeu a Leica Medal of Excellence em 1983 e que capturou a alma da boemia nova-iorquina de uma forma que ninguém mais conseguiu.
Diferente do seu trabalho atual com foco seletivo, o Chelsea Hotel de Edinger é um triunfo do pequeno formato. É fotografia de rua levada para dentro dos quartos: visceral e profundamente humana. Vamos descobrir como ele usou lentes grande angulares e o lendário filme Tri-X 400 para transformar um hotel decadente em um palco eterno da condição humana.

🎞️ A Técnica do Pequeno Formato: O uso da lente grande angular para capturar o personagem e o ambiente em espaços confinados.
⚡ O Flash como Pincel: Como Edinger usava o flash fora da câmera (com cabo sincronizador) para criar volume e drama.
🌑 A Estética Tri-X: A textura, o grão e o contraste que definiram o visual da fotografia documental daquela época.
