Although the vibrant visual style and energetic action sequences fit the tone established by James Gunn's DCU, the screenplay relies too heavily on quirky comedy, leaving Kara's personal transformation feeling underdeveloped. Milly Alcock makes for a charismatic and convincing Supergirl, with solid support from Eve Ridley, while appearances by David Corenswet as Superman and Jason Momoa as Lobo add franchise connectivity without significantly enriching the narrative.
