Beschreibung: Die Fraktionen von Union und SPD haben sich auf Änderungen am geplanten Wehrdienst-Modell verständigt. Details sollen am späten Nachmittag bekannt gegeben werden. Zuvor soll der neue Kompromiss in den Fraktionssitzungen vorgestellt werden. Zu der Einigung gehört demnach auch die Einführung eines Losverfahrens bei der Rekrutierung.

Das im August vom Kabinett auf den Weg gebrachte Wehrdienst-Gesetz von Verteidigungsminister Pistorius (SPD) sieht vor, dass junge Männer einen Fragebogen ausfüllen sollen, in dem sie angeben sollen, ob sie zum Dienst in der Bundeswehr bereit sind. Frauen können das tun. Eingezogen werden soll dann auf freiwilliger Basis.
