La sperimentazione è il filo conduttore della XXI edizione del Sole Luna Doc Film Festival, in programma a Palermo dal 6 al 12 luglio. Un'edizione che punta sui linguaggi più innovativi del cinema del reale e su nuove collaborazioni internazionali.

Ad aprire il festival sarà Krakatoa del regista e artista visivo spagnolo Carlos Casas, presentato per la prima volta in Italia in versione immersiva. Un'opera realizzata in sei anni di lavoro che trasforma il celebre vulcano indonesiano in un'esperienza cinematografica immersiva, dove immagini e suoni raccontano la forza primordiale della natura.

La ricerca di nuove forme narrative attraversa l'intero programma, con 40 film provenienti da tutto il mondo e una nuova partnership con il Festival International Jean Rouch di Parigi, storico punto di riferimento del cinema documentario ed etnografico. Un festival che conferma la volontà di esplorare il presente attraverso un cinema capace di innovare, sperimentare e coinvolgere il pubblico in modi sempre nuovi.
