Apps in Cowork: Build Managed Apps in Microsoft 365 | Full Tutorial

Microsoft just rolled out app building inside Copilot Cowork — and it changes how internal apps get made in Microsoft 365. You describe the app in plain English, Cowork generates the UI, wires up a real data source, and the finished app lands in the Microsoft 365 admin center as a fully governed "managed app." No Power Apps studio. No canvas screens. No code.

In this end-to-end walkthrough, I build a live Monthly Planner application from a single prompt, connect it to a SharePoint list, publish it, share it with another user, and then show exactly how it gets governed and licensed. Every step is recorded in real time, including the Microsoft Graph permission error I hit and how I worked around it.
