Penetapan tersangka oleh Kejaksaan Agung (Kejagung) RI ini dilakukan setelah mendapat bukti-bukti yang cukup serta pemeriksaan para saksi.
Dalam konferensi pers di Gedung Kejagung, Direktur Penyidikan pada Jaksa Agung Muda Bidang Tindak Pidana Khusus (Dirdik Jampidsus) Nurcahyo pada Kamis (4/9) mengungkapkan, sejumlah peran Nadiem.
Satu di antaranya melakukan pertemuan dengan pihak Google Indonesia untuk membicarakan mengenai produk dari Google dengan menggunakan Chromebook yang bisa digunakan oleh Kemendikbudristek untuk peserta didik pada Februari 2020.
Nurcahyo mengatakan, kerugian negara yang ditimbulkan dalam kasus ini mencapai Rp 1,98 T, namun jumlah tersebut dihitung.
Nadiem pun akan menjalani penahanan selama 20 hari di Rutan Salemba terhitung sejak hari ini.
Sebelumnya, Nadiem telah menjalani tiga kali pemeriksaan sebagai saksi terkait kasus korupsi Chromebook, termasuk yang dilakukan pada Kamis (4/9).
Adapun Kejagung lebih dulu menetapkan empat tersangka dalam kasus ini, yaitu Direktur SMP Kemendikbudristek 2020-2021, Mulyatsaya; Direktur SD Kemendikbudristek 2020-2021, Sri Wahyuningsih.
Lalu mantan staf khusus Mendikbudristek Nadiem Makarim, Jurist Tan; serta mantan konsultan teknologi pada Kemendikbudristek, Ibrahim Arief.
