In un recente intervento sui social ha ricordato come la vera responsabilità civile non consista nella conquista del #potere, ma nella ricerca di soluzioni.
Zichichi rivendica una vita dedicata alla #scienza come forma alta di #impegnocivile: non un rifiuto della #politica, ma una scelta di campo. Fondare istituti, creare scuole, promuovere la #cooperazione scientifica tra Paesi in conflitto: per lui questi sono gesti profondamente politici, capaci di costruire ponti mentre altri innalzano muri. È anche il motivo, spiega, per cui ha sempre rifiutato di entrare nei meccanismi della politica istituzionale, nonostante i numerosi inviti: avrebbe rallentato la sua missione scientifica.
In un’ #informazione spesso condizionata da interessi esterni, parole come le sue diventano bussola e ammonimento: dimostrano che indipendenza, competenza e responsabilità verso il #pubblico non solo sono possibili, ma restano imprescindibili. Ed è forse questo il contributo più prezioso che uno #scienziato possa offrire in tempi dominati da rumore e improvvisazione.
