In Deersheim tut man zudem viel für den Nachwuchs. Aus dem ehemaligen Dorfkonsum, der lange leer stand, hat ein Privatinvestor mit Fördergeldern vor etwa 10 Jahren einen Boxclub gemacht. Hier trainieren junge Sportler aus der gesamten Region für Wettkämpfe, gerade für die bevorstehenden Landesmeisterschaften. Und ein schmuck ausgebauter Jugendclub lädt am Nachmittag zu gemeinsamen Hausaufgaben und am Abend zum Spielen ein.Besonders stolz ist man auch auf die Freiwillige Feuerwehr, die zum 140. Geburtstag einen künstlerisch gestalteten Gedenkstein niederlegt und enthüllt. Daneben gibt es in Deersheim einen Holzkünstler, der kreative Auftragsarbeiten erledigt, den Deersheimer Narren Club DNC, die karnevalistischen Tänze einstudiert und den allseits beliebten Dorfklatsch und -tratsch, eine regelmäßige Veranstaltung der Genossenschaft, die auch in dieser Ausgabe von "Unser Dorf hat Wochenende" aus Deersheim vorgestellt wird.
