JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – DPR resmi menyetujui revisi Undang-Undang Nomor 19 Tahun 2006 tentang Wantimpres menjadi rancangan undang-undang usul inisiatif DPR. Adapun revisi aturan itu akan mengubah UU Wantimpres menjadi DPA.Disinggung soal urgensi perubahan nama tersebut, Politisi PDIP, Hendrawan Supratikno mengatakan perdebatan masalah ini menjadi pintu masuk ketatanegaraan yang lebih Komprehensif dan mendalam.
Selain itu Refly Harun menyebut perubahan itu ada dari 3 hal yakni dari sis hukum ansih, dari sisi moralitas hukum dan dari sisi politik. Selanjutnya Refly menegaskan kalau mneghidupkan DPA itu haram hukumnya.
“Saya salah satu orang yang mengkampanyekan untuk menghapus DPA,” ungkap Refly Harun dala program SATU MEJA (17/7/2024).

Revisi Undang-Undang Dewan Pertimbangan Presiden atau Wantimpres akan dibahas khusus dan jadi usul inisiatif DPR. Dalam RUU tersebut Wantimpres akan diubah menjadi Dewan Pertimbangan Agung (DPA). Jumlah anggota DPA nantinya akan diserahkan sepenuhnya kepada Presiden terpilih, jadi sorotan karena dianggap sebagai bagi-bagi jatah kekuasaan.
