Last week we visited the beautiful Simpson’s Forest Luxury Boutique Resort for a relaxing family getaway. The roads are now fully cleared and the journey was smooth. We stayed in the Heights Category Bungalow surrounded by mountains and forest views. On the first day we enjoyed an incredible sunset. The next day we explored the nature trail with a naturalist who showed us tea plantations, birds, herbal trees and a hidden waterfall inside the property. Our daughter Elina even tried tea plucking and helped cook a traditional Sri Lankan lunch at the Gami Gedara. We also visited the beautiful Hunnas Falls before heading home.
