Pada tragedi pembantaian tersebut, sebanyak 45 warga sipil Palestina yang meninggal terbakar di dalam tenda-tenda pengungsian mereka di lokasi tersebut.
Pasca pembantaian, Khaberni melaporkan, seorang dokter Palestina menemukan selembar Al-Qur'an yang berada di saku seorang wanita yang meninggal karena pengeboman tersebut.
"Lembar Al-Quran muncul dengan ayat dari Surat Al-Buruj. (video penemuan ini) memicu reaksi besar (viral)," tulis laporan tersebut, dikutip Rabu (29/5/2024).
Sang pembuat konten "Al-Ghazawi" Osama Al-Nashar mengunggah video klip tersebut, di mana terlihat seseorang memegang sisa halaman Al-Qur'an di atas tubuh korban sambil melantunkan ayat suci dari Surat Al-Buruj.
“Kami menemukannya di saku bibi saya. Ketika kami menemukan jenazah kerabat saya yang syahid, kami menemukan ayat-ayat ini di saku bibi saya,"
Osama Al-Nashar menyebut, "seolah-olah surat dalam Al-Qur'an yang dibawa oleh bibinya tersebut adalah pesan dari Allah,"
