Mereka sempat menunda kehadirannya dalam retret kepala daerah karena instruksi dari Ketua Umum PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri.
Instruksi Megawati tersebut tertuang dalam Surat Nomor 7294/IN/DPP/II/2025 tertanggal Kamis, 20 Februari 2025. “Kepala daerah dan wakil kepala daerah untuk menunda perjalanan yang akan mengikuti retret di Magelang pada tanggal 21-28 Februari 2025. Sekiranya telah dalam perjalanan menuju Kota Magelang untuk berhenti dan menunggu arahan lebih lanjut dari Ketua Umum,” tulis Megawati dalam surat itu.
