Alex Otaola recuerda a sus abuelas al ver que multan a un anciano vendedor de maní en Cuba

Alex Otaola abrió su corazón al recordar a sus dos abuelas. La materna, maestra de profesión, terminó sus días vendiendo café en el portal de su casa. La paterna, por su parte, vendía maní. “Yo las ayudé”, confesó Otaola, visiblemente conmovido, al traer a la memoria esas escenas de esfuerzo y dignidad.

Esa evocación se entrelazó con la indignación que provocó un nuevo abuso en Cuba: un anciano vendedor de maní fue multado por un jefe de sector y una inspectora. La escena quedó grabada y la persona que filmaba no pudo contener su rabia: “¡Eso es abuso, policía singao, hijo de put4!”.

La comparación entre sus recuerdos familiares y el atropello actual sirve a Otaola para subrayar cómo la dictadura no respeta ni a los más vulnerables. En lugar de protegerlos, los reprime y los castiga por intentar sobrevivir en medio de la miseria.
