Ab 17 Uhr sprach der Republikaner zu der Geheim-Operation, die in der Festnahme von Diktator Nicolás Maduro gipfelte. Trump gibt die Pressekonferenz in Mar-a-Lago (US-Bundesstaat Florida).

97 Prozent der Drogen kämen über See in die USA, sagt Trump, und ein großer Teil davon aus Venezuela. „Wir werden das Land regieren“, sagt er („we are going to run the country“) – bis ein vernünftiger Übergang sichergestellt werden könne.
