(Agenzia Vista) "Qui la vicenda di Satnam è andata oltre il tema della sicurezza sul lavoro e del caporalato, quella che è mancata è stata proprio l'umanità, quel senso minimo di civiltà, di rispetto di regole base, questo è stato forse uno dei momenti più bassi e quindi secondo me questa storia merita di essere ricordata non soltanto nella memoria di una vita umana, il tema della sicurezza purtroppo ne strappa spesso di vite umane, ma proprio per tutto quello che ha fatto emergere in tutta la sua drammaticità e con comportamenti che hanno poco di umano". Così il presidente della Regione Lazio, Francesco Rocca, al termine dell'incontro con i genitori e i familiari di Satnam Singh, il bracciante indiano deceduto il 19 giugno 2024 nei campi dell'Agro Pontino a causa di un incidente sul lavoro. "Non si muore per per un braccio perso, quindi pensare a tutto il tempo che si è perduto, al dolore e vedere le lacrime dei familiari è uno degli aspetti più terribili della vicenda - continua Rocca - Questa è una storia che fa emergere la drammaticità spesso delle condizioni in cui vivono i lavoratori del settore agroalimentare, del settore agricolo, quindi la necessità di tenere alta la vigilanza. Però ripeto, questa è una storia che racconta molto di più, che racconta non solo di sfruttamento, ma racconta anche di barbarie".Regione Lazio
