I thought I was heading to a normal beach in Pakistan... but Clifton Beach in Karachi turned out to be something completely different.What started as a simple walk along the shoreline quickly became an adventure through one of Pakistan's busiest public spaces. From snake charmers, camel rides, monkey shows, beachside mosques, carnival games, food stalls, photographers, and thousands of families enjoying the evening, Clifton Beach feels less like a beach and more like a giant outdoor festival.
In this video I take you on a full walking tour of Karachi's famous Clifton Beach to show you what life is really like here. You'll see the good, the bad, and the surprising side of one of Pakistan's most visited attractions. Along the way we meet locals, explore the food vendors, see unique entertainment you won't find in many other countries, and experience the incredible atmosphere that draws huge crowds every evening.
But there's also a side of Clifton Beach that shocked me. From litter problems to drainage flowing into the sea, I'll show you the reality of what visitors can expect and why I personally wouldn't recommend swimming here.
Karachi continues to surprise me. Every time I think I've seen it all, I discover something new. Whether you've visited Pakistan before or you're seeing it for the first time through these videos, Clifton Beach is a fascinating look at everyday life in the country's largest city.
