Глубоко под Азорскими островами учёные обнаружили гигантскую реку магмы, поднимающуюся к поверхности, что вызвало тревогу в одном из самых вулканически активных регионов Атлантического океана. Расплавленная порода пробивалась вверх сквозь земную кору и неожиданно приблизилась к выходу на поверхность — всего на 1,6 км.
