Les États-Unis viennent de franchir une nouvelle ligne rouge.Le 7 janvier 2026, en pleine haute mer, Washington a saisi un pétrolier battant pavillon russe, le Marinera, soupçonné d’appartenir à la « flotte fantôme » utilisée pour contourner les sanctions contre le Venezuela.
Une opération militaire coordonnée, assumée, menée par la Garde côtière américaine avec l’appui du Royaume-Uni, en violation directe du droit maritime international, selon Moscou.
Ce navire, lié au Venezuela et potentiellement à PDVSA, était escorté par des unités russes, dont un sous-marin. Malgré cela, les États-Unis sont intervenus… sans riposte russe immédiate.
Derrière cet arraisonnement spectaculaire se cache une doctrine nouvelle : l’imposition des sanctions américaines comme une loi mondiale, y compris en haute mer.
Piraterie d’État pour la Russie, mesure légale pour Washington.
Mais une question centrale demeure : qui gouverne réellement le monde aujourd’hui ? Le droit international ou la force brute ?
