Qualcuno nei 2 mesi precedenti all'intervento "preventivo" di Israele e Stati Uniti di febbraio, aveva incrementato del +15,8% il volume dell'importazione del greggio rispetto allo stesso periodo dell'anno precedente. Quel qualcuno è la Cina, che, non solo, già nel 2025 aveva aumentato l'importazione di petrolio a 11 milioni e mezzo di barili al giorno. Un quantitativo record che alla fine ha messo il Dragone Rosso in una posizione relativamente favorevole, rispetto ai Paesi europei, nel contesto della chiusura dello Stretto di Hormuz.
