- Both versions of the game in this comparison are for PC.
- Visually, there are no major changes in the graphics settings beyond lighting and some vegetation.
- In this new version, the new lighting combined with path tracing results in substantial improvements, especially in global illumination.
- However, there are areas where the game loses its somber look, appearing somewhat washed out (especially in the first area of the game).
- In the previous version, there were areas where the ambient occlusion of the vegetation appeared excessively blown out. In the current version, that vegetation looks too bright.
- I think a middle-ground adjustment would be ideal to recapture some of that somber tone without sacrificing the benefits of the new lighting.
- Although it’s not part of the comparison, the gameplay improvements alone make this remastered version absolutely worth it.

- Aunque no forme parte de la comparativa, las mejoras aplicadas en la jugabilidad ya hacen que merezca absolutamente la pena esta versión remasterizada.
