Mannheim (ots) - Wie bereits berichtet, wurde am Mittwochmorgen um kurz nach 8 Uhr eine weibliche Person tot in der Nähe des Karlstern aufgefunden. Es handelt es sich um eine 19-jährige Frau. Erste Ermittlungen sowie die vorläufigen Untersuchungsergebnisse der Rechtsmedizin bestätigen den Verdacht, dass die Frau Opfer einer Gewalttat geworden ist. Die Kriminalpolizeidirektion Heidelberg richtete mit rund 60 Beamtinnen und Beamten eine Sonderkommission ein. Im Zuge der intensiven Ermittlungen konnte noch am Mittwochabend ein dringend tatverdächtiger 17-Jähriger vorläufig festgenommen werden. Dieser befindet sich in polizeilichem Gewahrsam und wird einem Haftrichter vorgeführt. Die genauen Umstände der Tat sowie ein mögliches Motiv sind Gegenstand der laufenden Ermittlungen.
