I did this for the previous campaigns where master difficulty was the maximum difficulty, The Witch Queen and Lightfall. The Final Shape had no higher difficulty other than the 3 co-op missions, so unfortunately I couldn't do it there. But Edge of Fate returns with the ability to have a higher difficulty for the whole campaign, so it made sense to do the same for this. The reason it took so long is they announced planned changes to the mythic difficulty early on, so I figured it was worth waiting so it'd be the proper experience. I was also curious to test how different it was, and rather than a single mission, I figured I'd do the full campaign. So here it finally is, even if I'm sure people aren't interested. I just like to have these documented over time.
As for the campaign itself, I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I actually enjoyed it. The matterspark and "puzzles" in the campaign are a little tiresome, generally because they usually just amount to go and find some hidden thing to interact with and not much more. But the story itself is decent, and the combat is enjoyable enough. It's also a nice break from just farming the portal and power levels, even if this is ultimately unrewarding to do.
Another unpopular opinion, but the mythic campaign now feels neutered compared to before, without fireteam scaling. I know people didn't like the previous iteration and how spongey enemies were, but now the campaign feels similar to the legendary difficulty, even at -40 for mythic. Maybe that's just down to the build being strong and being more familiar with it, but it felt extremely different to the older version. I'm not fussed either way, nor am I advocating for it to be made harder again, but the changes made a huge difference to it feels. So if you did want to get the triumphs for all of the missions, it's now easier than ever.
There's only a couple things left I want to do in Destiny before Renegades hit, notably finishing off the final conquest (once I hit 550), and obviously covering the exotic mission tomorrow. I'll likely be leaning into variety a lot more for the month of November, as there'll be nothing new at all to do in Destiny. If there is anything interesting I'll obviously cover it, but things will likely slow down during that month.
