Ia terlihat absen dari acara HUT ke-80 RI pada (17/8) karena disebut sakit.
Sebelumnya, ia juga absen dari rapat paripurna DPRD Pati.
Menteri Dalam Negeri (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian lantas memerintahkan Sudewo tetap bekerja menjalankan tugas pemerintahan.
Meskipun saat ini, DPRD telah sepakat untuk menggunakan hak angket.
“Saya sampaikan bahwa pemerintahan tetap berjalan, sesuai aturan undang-undang, bupati kan tetap bisa berjalan,” kata Tito saat ditemui di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta, Senin (18/8/2025).
Tito lantas mencontohkan kasus pemakzulan Bupati Jember.
Saat itu, pemakzulan sudah berproses di DPRD.
Namun, bupati tetap bekerja melaksanakan tugas-tugas pemerintah daerah.
Setelah suara DPRD memenuhi kuorum dengan kesepakatan memakzulkan bupati, hasilnya diserahkan ke Mahkamah Agung.
Sebelumnya, DPRD Pati resmi memulai tahapan pemakzulan Sudewo melalui Pansus Hak Angket.
Langkah ini merespons unjuk rasa besar-besaran puluhan ribu rakyat Pati yang marah karena pajak bumi dan bangunan (PBB) naik 250 persen.
Saat ini, pansus mengaku telah menemukan setidaknya 12 kebijakan ngawur yang diambil Sudewo.
