Politisi PDIP Guntur Romli kemudian mengungkapkan alasan di balik pencopotan Bambang Pacul oleh Megawati.
Dalam keteranganya pada Jumat (28/8), Guntur mengatakan bahwa PDIP saat ini tengah mempersiapkan Pemilu 2029.
Menurut Guntur, Pemilu 2029 memiliki tantangannya sendiri sehingga dibutuhkan fokus.
Untuk itu, pengurus DPP tidak diperbolehkan untuk rangkap jabatan.
Termasuk Bambang Pacul yang menjabat sebagai Ketua DPP Bidang Pemenangan Pemilu Legislatif yang diminta fokus pada skala nasional.
Guntur berujar, beberapa pengurus DPP yang merangkap jadi Ketua DPD digantikan oleh seorang Pelaksana Tugas (Plt) agar fokus menjalankan amanat partai secara nasional.
Dikatakan oleh Guntur bahwa Bambang Pacul merupakan kader senior di partai yang memiliki pengalaman serta keahlian yang dibutuhkan untuk pemenangan Pileg 2029.
Adapun Megawati menunjuk kader senior FX Hadi Rudyatmo sebagai Plt Ketua DPD PDIP Jateng.
Sebagai informasi, Bambang Pacul telah jadi Ketua DPD PDIP Jateng sejak tahun 2015 silam.
Namun kinerjanya disorot lantaran PDIP mengalami kekalahan di Jawa Tengah yang dikenal sebagai "Kandang Banteng" pada Pemilu 2024.
Kekalahan PDIP di Jateng ini juga sempat disinggung oleh Megawati dalam pidatonya saat penutupan Kongres VI PDIP di Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Bali, Sabtu (2/8) lalu.
