FED e Inflazione: ecco i grafici più importanti da conoscere

Nel nuovo aggiornamento analizziamo la decisione della Federal Reserve che ha lasciato invariati i tassi di interesse, ma ha rivisto al rialzo le stime sull’inflazione, alimentando nuove tensioni sui mercati finanziari. Durante la conferenza, Jerome Powell ha descritto un contesto economico complesso, tra inflazione persistente, shock petrolifero e incertezza geopolitica legata al conflitto tra Stati Uniti e Iran.
Nonostante una comunicazione apparentemente accomodante, i mercati hanno reagito negativamente. Il motivo? Una combinazione di fattori: dati sull’inflazione più alti delle attese, come il PPI (indice dei prezzi alla produzione), e aspettative sui tassi meno favorevoli. Gli investitori, infatti, non prezzano più tagli nel breve termine, segnalando uno scenario di “tassi più alti più a lungo”.
Analizziamo inoltre il ruolo dell’indice ISM manifatturiero come indicatore anticipatore dell’inflazione e il comportamento degli asset principali come S&P 500 e TLT (ETF obbligazionario USA), entrambi colpiti dal contesto di risk-off. Con un VIX sopra i 20 punti, la volatilità resta elevata e il mercato continua a reagire in modo amplificato a ogni notizia macro.
