Geboren in Moskau, aufgewachsen in Berlin und Tel Aviv, erwachsen geworden in London. Schauspieler, Autor und Musiker – Daniel Donskoy ist mit seinen 35 Jahren schwerlich zu verorten. Seine russisch-ukrainischen Eltern zogen mit ihm kurz nach seiner Geburt 1990 nach Berlin, später ging er mit seiner Mutter nach Tel Aviv. Bekannt wurde er in Deutschland vor allem durch seine Rolle in der Serie "Sankt Maik", in der er den charismatischen Hochstapler Maik Schäfer spielt, der sich als Dorfpfarrer in einer kleinen Gemeinde ausgibt. Vielfach preisgekrönt wurde er als Gastgeber und Moderator der Talkshow "Freitagnacht Jews", die sich mit jüdischem Leben in Deutschland und darüber hinaus befasst. Nun hat der Künstler, der auch als Musiker erfolgreich ist, ein Buch geschrieben: "Brennen" – eine "atemlose Reise voller Exzesse", wie der Verlag schreibt. Darin geht es auch immer wieder um das Thema Zugehörigkeit, über das wir mit Daniel Donskoy auch sprechen möchten in "DER TAG in Berlin & Brandenburg".
