Pebulutangkis China, Zhang Zhi Jie dinyatakan meninggal oleh 2 rumah sakit usai kolaps dalam pertandingan Asia Junior Championships 2024 di GOR Among Rogo, Yogyakarta, Minggu malam.

Jenazah disemayamkan di kamar jenazah RSUP Dokter Sardjito Yogyakarta sambil menunggu kedatangan keluarga.

Dalam jumpa pers di gedung KONI, Senin siang pihak RSUP Dokter Sardjito Yogyakarta mengatakan Zhang Zhie Jie sempat ditangani di RSPAU Hardjolukito dan RSUP Dokter Sardjito.

Zhang Zhie Jie disebut mengalami henti jantung mendadak.
