En medio del Lago Victoria existe un lugar que desafía toda lógica humana. Se llama Migingo, una roca de apenas 2.000 metros cuadrados donde viven hacinadas más de 500 personas. Un laberinto de chabolas metálicas, callejones imposibles y una tensión constante por el control del "oro plateado": la perca del Nilo.Es un hormiguero humano donde el espacio no existe. He venido hasta aquí para ver cómo es la vida en un lugar donde dos países, Kenia y Uganda, se disputan cada centímetro de piedra con policías armados conviviendo en un espacio mínimo.
Estamos aquí para documentar la vida y sus dificultades, arriesgando la propia vida junto a los pescadores en medio de tormentas y adentrándome en las historias más oscuras que rodean la prostitución en la isla. No hay alcantarillado ni privacidad, solo el ruido constante de la chapa de zinc bajo el sol y el olor a pescado seco. Es una bomba de tiempo humana rodeada de agua, piratería y supervivencia extrema. Un experimento social involuntario que demuestra hasta dónde es capaz de llegar el hombre por un puñado de dólares en el bolsillo.
