The film also includes rare footage from Khomeini’s funeral and burial ceremony, including scenes from the chaotic crowds at Tehran’s Musalla and Behesht-e Zahra, with some previously unseen archive footage of the burial itself.
Through archive material, historical context, and Khomeini’s own speeches, the documentary examines how one man turned a revolution of many voices into an Islamic state built around his vision of political Islam.
