NEW YORK: „Putin wird uns weiter testen“ – Wadephul warnt bei UN-SondersitzungBei den Vereinten Nationen in New York hat Außenminister Johann Wadephul (CDU) ein klares Signal gesetzt. Er verurteilte die Verletzung des estnischen Luftraums durch russische Kampfjets als „Missachtung der UN-Charta“ und warnte: „Putin wird uns weiter testen.“ Wadephul forderte zugleich einen sofortigen Waffenstillstand in Gaza, mehr humanitäre Hilfe und die Freilassung aller Geiseln. Eine Zweistaatenlösung sei „der einzige Weg“, eine Anerkennung Palästinas komme für Deutschland aber erst am Ende des Prozesses infrage. Zudem kündigte er fünf Millionen Euro für den Klimafonds pazifischer Inselstaaten an und bestätigte die Kandidatur Deutschlands für einen Sitz im UN-Sicherheitsrat 2027/28.
