AIRBUS A340-600 CROSSWIND Landing + Sunset Departure - 60 Minutes of Planes at Maastricht (4K)
The Airbus A340-600 is a beautiful airplane. Shortly before the airline went bankrupt earlier this year I was able to film an A340 of European Cargo arriving at Maastricht Airport after a flight from Urumqi. The pilots had to face light southern winds which caused this interesting crosswind landing. You can see that the aircraft is facing straight into my camera before touchdown.There are good news regarding European Cargo. Currently there are floating around some romours that the previous owner of URO Cargo wants to buy the airline back which means that the A340-600 Freighter could return to the air soon. Let` s hope for the best.
Also note the A340-600 departure which was recorded during sunset. There was lots of sahara dust in the air that day which makes the footage look like I made this video somewhere in Congo, but I filmed it at Maastricht.
