One year following Spud Webb's 1986 NBA Slam Dunk triumph, he returned to the dunk contest stage as a part of Magic Johnson's Midsummer Night's Magic charity event held at the Forum in Inglewood, California. Webb went on to appear in two more NBA slam dunk contests in 1988 and 1989, finishing seventh and third, respectively.
