Tuduhan itu disampaikan Hamas, Rabu (12/6/2024) malam.
“Upaya Blinken untuk membebaskan pendudukan (Israel) dan meminta pertanggungjawaban kami karena menghalangi gencatan senjata adalah bagian dari keterlibatan negaranya dalam perang pemusnahan,” kata Hamas.
Diketahui, pada Senin (10/6) lalu, Dewan Keamanan PBB mengadopsi resolusi yang mendukung proposal gencatan senjata Gaza yang digariskan oleh Presiden AS Joe Biden.
Hamas merespons positif proposal untuk mencapai gencatan senjata di Gaza dan membebaskan semua tahanan, sementara Israel terus menolak gencatan senjata permanen.
Hamas lalu mendesak AS untuk menekan Israel, agar menerima kesepakatan soal gencatan senjata permanen di Gaza.
Di sisi lain, Blinken mengatakan bahwa Hamas telah mengusulkan banyak perubahan pada proposal gencatan senjata yang digariskan Biden, menambahkan bahwa beberapa perubahan dapat diterapkan dan yang lainnya tidak.
